BRITISH police have arrested two teens as part of an investigation into illegal recordings of conversations on Scotland Yard�s anti-terror hotline, which were later posted on Youtube.
The two boys aged 16 and 17 are being�held in the West Midlands by officers from the Police Central e-Crime Unit, �the UK's Daily Telegraph reports.
In the recording of the conversation, two people are heard discussing an earlier alleged attack in which a group calling themselves TeamPoison (TeaMp0isoN)�apparently jammed the hotline by bombarding it with calls from computers.
TeamPoison are believed to be made up of eight members and claim to have gained unauthorised access to organisations from Facebook to the United Nations, the UK's Daily Telegraph reports.�
Group members told Sky News that they used Skype and a number of proxy servers during the attack.�
They claimed they can listen into calls on the confidential hotline at any time and described the Metropolitan Police's security as an "illusion".
"It took no skill whatsoever. It was pretty much an in-and-out job. It was pretty much simple. They use an old phone system," a purported member of the group said.
"If we wanted to go ahead and listen to their calls, it would be easy for us. We could pretty much do it at any time and any place."
Sky News security editor Sam Kiley said the incident would "indicate a pretty catastrophic failure inside what should be the most secure environment in the country".
"This is the headquarters of the counter-terrorism police in the Metropolitan Police, responsible for counter-terrorism operations right across the country, effectively."
The Metropolitan Police insisted that their phone security had not been breached the integrity of the confidential anti-terror hotline remained intact.
