Brown: Faces late assessment for Shots

Sky Bet

Team news ahead of Tuesday's League Two clash between Aldershot and Swindon at the Recreation Ground.

Troy Brown will be assessed ahead of Aldershot's home clash.

The on-loan defender's late header salvaged a 1-1 draw against Dagenham at the weekend but he finished the game carrying a knock which will be monitored in the build-up to the Robins' visit.

Otherwise, manager Dean Holdsworth is expected to boast the same squad.

Midfielder Jordan Roberts was handed his full debut against the Daggers, replacing loanee Ben Smith following his recall by parent club Crawley, and he will be looking to keep his place.

Although much will depend on the fitness of Josh Payne, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring problem. Ross Worner (back), Alex Rodman (pulmonary embolism) and Michael Rankine (leg) will miss the remainder of the season.

Swindon will be celebrating automatic promotion should they take at least a point or if Crawley fail to beat Northampton, while the title could also be theirs if they triumph over Shots and second-placed Shrewsbury fail to beat Port Vale.

Swindon will welcome back defender Alan McCormack.

The Irishman pulled out of Saturday's 1-0 win over Plymouth Argyle at the County Ground during the warm-up to attend the birth of his daughter but is set to return to the starting line-up.

Robins captain Paul Caddis came back into the Swindon XI at the weekend after more than a month on the sidelines with an ankle problem and he is expected to start as the Wiltshire outfit look to secure promotion to League One.

A draw will send Swindon up, and the team are expected to be joined on the touchline by manager Paolo Di Canio - who returned to his native Italy over the weekend to be with his family following the death of his mother Pierina.

Winger Matt Ritchie remains a doubt with a minor knock while striker Jonathan Tehoue will not feature after the on-loan Leyton Orient man was told by Di Canio that he has no future at the club.
