Micah Richards: Has potential to become the world's best right-back, believes Joleon Lescott
Joleon Lescott believes Manchester City team-mate Micah Richards is in the form of his life and has the potential to become the best right-back in the world.
Richards produced a man-of-the-match display in Saturday's 3-1 win over Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium as the league leaders continued their unbeaten start to the campaign.
A constant threat with his overlapping bursts, Richards scored City's crucial second and then played a pivotal role in a match-sealing second penalty when he was bundled over by Hatem Ben Arfa.
Despite Richards being overlooked recently at international level, with his last appearance for England being more than a year ago in the 2-1 friendly defeat by France, Lescott believes the 23-year-old is in the form of his life.

"Micah has been in immense form all season," the City defender told the club's official website. "His confidence is really high.
"He is in the best form of his career and has the world at his feet.
"I would say he is the best right-back in the league just now. If he continues this form he will be the best in the world."

Joleon Lescott Quotes of the week
Unlike his young team-mate, Lescott found himself starting alongside Phil Jagielka in England's impressive 1-0 win over Spain and he acknowledges he needs to keep playing well at club level to be considered for the international stage.
"It is nice to be involved with England," he said.
"It was fantastic to be part of such a great performance and beat a brilliant team like Spain.
"But this is my bread and butter. I know if I don't play well for Manchester City I won't be getting picked with England."
