A WOUNDED feral bull on the run led to the last-minute postponement of an off-road fun run in New Zealand.
Saturday's Lactic Turkey Trail Running Extravanganza and Rogaine was cancelled with less than 12 hours notice because of fears the bull, who had escaped from a farm near Auckland, could attack the 200 race competitors.
"We don't charge like wounded bulls for our races and the last thing we want is for a wounded bull to charge competitors," race organiser Shaun Collins told the Sunday Star Times.
He said farm staff had been trying to catch it "for a while".
"They had a shot at it this week but only [injured] it, so now it's real angry," he said.
The race was postponed to October 1-2.
