Zara Phillips - wife of England's Mike Tindall
No matter how hard all the other wives and girlfriends tried nothing could top being the Queen's granddaughter to claiming the ultimate WAG title. Mike Tindall's new bride Zara Phillips is said to be "rugby-mad" and has brought the royal fanfare to the World Cup. While the pair was forced to postpone their honeymoon because of Tindall's sporting commitments, The Daily Mail reports Phillips "has promised Mike she will fly to New Zealand later this month" to support him.
Amy Huberman - wife of Ireland's Brian O'Driscoll
Dubliner Amy Huberman and Ireland rugby captain Brian O'Driscoll have become Ireland's answer to Posh 'n' Becks. Huberman, however, was famous long before she started dating the sports star. She is best known for starring in Irish soap opera The Clinic and has also published her first novel, Hello Heartbreak.
Stephanie Rice - girlfriend of Australia's Quade Cooper
Triple Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Stephanie Rice is a sporting superstar in her own right and is the current world record holder for the 400m individual medley. Since October 2010 Rice has been linked to Australian fly-half Quade Cooper.
Alexandra Rosenfeld - wife of Italy's Sergio Parisse
Sergio Parisse's other half Alexandra Rosenfeld was named Miss France in 2006 and went on to be crowned Miss Europe. The pair who were married in 2006 are now regular tabloid fodder as one of France's most sought-after celebrity couples.
Lucie Jones - girlfriend of Wales' Leigh Halfpenny
20-year-old Lucie Jones burst onto the social scene as a contestant on the sixth series of The X-Factor and while she may not have won the singing contest, Halfpenny certainly thinks she has it. Jones, the current face of Wonderbra, now works as a model while also performing in the West End stage production of Les Miserables.

A former New Zealand hockey player, Dillon is the childhood sweetheart of All Blacks fly-half Dan Carter and one half of New Zealand's most celebrated sporting couple.
