- Axed The Voice singer to appear on Australia's Got Talent
- Was fired for singing on Guy Sebastian's latest single
- Guy 'crushed' by Carmen's sacking
OUSTED The Voice competitor Carmen Smith will appear on rival TV show Australia's Got Talent.
Last week, the popular performer was kicked out of the competition for singing on Guy Sebastian's latest single 'Gold', which was banned in her contract with the show.
At the time Sebastian said he was "devastated" and confused over the axing of his back-up singer, but has now offered her a lifeline by asking her to sing a duet with him on the Channel 7 program.
Her performance is being heavily promoted by Channel 7 in its ads for the struggling talent program.
The show will air on Wednesday in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, and in Brisbane and Sydney on Thursday night.
After she was sacked from The Voice, Smith admitted she was crushed by the decision.
"It saddens me that I am leaving The Voice earlier, much earlier, than I had hoped," she said. "However, I've loved every minute of it and respect the decision that has been made."
