Morrison blow for West Brom

West Brom midfielder James Morrison could face an extended spell on the sidelines after he suffered a knee ligament injury in the defeat by Newcastle.

The Baggies were 3-1 down when Morrison limped out of the action late on, with Roy Hodgson's side having to finish the game with 10 men as they had already used their three substitutes.

And Hodgson later confirmed the initial prognosis from the club's medical team is not good.

He said: "It's knee ligament damage. He will have the scan tomorrow and we will see what brings.

"The initial prognosis from the medical team is not good. We have to see what ligaments in the knee have been affected."
