CHANNEL 10's much-hyped Young Talent Time has been pulled from its prime-time Sunday timeslot.

From March 25, The Biggest Loser, which has gained audience share since the axing of its main competition, Channel 9?s Excess Baggage, moves into YTT?s Sunday 6.30pm slot.

The Biggest Loser will also screen 7pm Monday to Thursday.

YTT, reinvented by Ten after a 24-year absence from our screens, will move to a Friday 7pm timeslot from March 30.

Ten is adamant this does not signal doom for YTT, which launched to over a million viewers but has since struggled for ratings traction.

Sunday?s episode had 689,000 viewers, making it the 16th ranked show for the night.

My Kitchen Rules was the dominant force with 1.7 million viewers.

Kids' variety show YTT, hosted by Johnny Young, was a ratings phenomenon for most of its 18 years on air (1971-1988).

It made stars of Tina Arena, Debra Byrne, Dannii Minogue, Jamie Redfern, Karen Knowles and a host of others.

With Rob Mills at the helm and Arena as a mentor, the new version has not been the breakout success Ten had hoped.

David Mott, chief programmming officer at Ten, said: ?As we move through the year we will continue to reinvigorate our Super Sunday line-up and our move this weekend of The Biggest Loser to Sundays at 6.30pm is perfect timing as the competition really takes hold.

?We?ve built Friday nights as a space for family friendly entertainment, fun light programming and now the perfect fit for Young Talent Time as it heads into the big semi final and final weeks.?
