IT'S the elephant in the room but it's taken iconic TV host Barbara Walters to put it to them - why exactly are the Kardashians famous?
�Walters took on the reality stars when Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and their mother and manager Kris Jenner appeared on her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011 special.
"You don't really act, you don't sing, you don't dance,? she said. ?You don't have any - forgive me - any talent!"
While Khloe was first to fire back with: ?We?re still entertaining people?, it was her sex tape sister Kim who showed that if she has a talent for anything it could well be for the outrageous answer.
?I think it?s more of a challenge to go on a reality show and get people to fall in love with you for being you,? she said. ?So, there?s definitely a lot more pressure, I think, to be famous for being ourselves.?
While she had a ready answer for this one it was a question about her infamous X-rated appearance in 2007 which had Kim almost speechless.
"I have made mistakes in my life for sure,? she eventually replied.
The late Steve Jobs topped Walters? annual list this year, with Pippa Middleton, Katy Perry and Donald Trump also making the cut.
The interview was recorded in September so didn?t include any references to Kim's bitter divorce battle with ex-beau Kris Humphries.
But now that she is back on the singles market, it appears she is putting the short-lived, broken marriage behind her as she was spotted engaging in some high-octane flirting with rapper Kanye West at a celeb-filled LA party earlier this week.
A source told the NY Daily News Kanye "was all over Kim" and she was "totally into it".
"Kanye was eating Kim up like she was a piece of cake," the source said. "He was all over her - caressing her head, touching her waist.
"I think he was dying to kiss her but there were too many people in the room."
