WIKILEAKS boss Julian Assange was granted permission today to appeal his extradition to Sweden on sex offence charges.
Britain's Supreme Court will hear the appeal on February 1 next year.
"The Supreme Court has granted permission to appeal and a hearing has been scheduled for two days, beginning on 1 February 2012," a statement from the Supreme Court said.
The 40-year-old Australian faces allegations of sexual misconduct in Stockholm. He was arrested last December on a European warrant over allegations of rape and sexual assault made by two women in Stockholm last August.
Assange denies any wrongdoing.
