Bruce: Not ruling out any more sales before the end of the transfer window this month
Steve Bruce has hinted there could be more departures from Sunderland after Steed Malbranque signed for St Etienne.
Bruce has been active in the transfer market this summer - signing nine players - as he looks to build on the squad that finished 10th last term.
However, he knows that he will now have to clear the fringe players from his squad and is taking the necessary steps to do so.
"It's possible that two or three people might move on and there are some irons in the fire," he told the club's official website.
"There are three or four weeks to go until the end of the transfer window. Whether they get over the line or not I don't know, but we'll see."
