World's most charitable celebrities

SINGER Annie Lennox has been crowned the most charitable star in the world.

The newlywed beat out Sir Elton John to top non-profit organisation Look to the Stars' annual list of the most kind-hearted public figures.

Former US President Bill Clinton rounds out the top three, while U2 star Bono, George Clooney and Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also receive recognition.

The countdown was created using the number of events and charitable organisations each star supports.
