LEGENDARY Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant will perform in Australia for the first time in 16 years at the annual Bluesfest in Byron Bay.
Plant will headline the annual blues festival's line up on March 30 with his new band the Sensational Shape Shifters.
Festival director Peter Noble has been trying to win Plant for his event for more than a decade.
"Bringing Robert Plant to Bluesfest is a dream come true, not just for me, but for the thousands of fans who have been standing by patiently all these years," Noble said.
Supertramp frontman Roger Hodgson, Yes singer Jon Anderson, Status Quo and Madness have also joined the 2013 Bluesfest lineup.
