NINTENDO has released a sneak peek of its new Wii U gaming device on Facebook.
The part tablet, part controller was announced at last year's E3 gaming convention but the Facebook post shows the completed version for the first time.
The device has a touchscreen in the centre, encased in white plastic with buttons on the side.
Gamers can use the touchscreen to send drawings and handwritten or typed messages to Wii?s social network - known as Miiverse.

A demonstration video showed how the network could be used to get advice from other users about how to kill a zombie, or reach another stage of the game.
Nintendo global president Satoru Iwata said the company believed the Wii U would solve the issue of being "alone together".
"We believe it enables the sharing of more smiles, more laughs and more empathy," Mr Iwata said.

Nintendo is offering a premium "Wii U Pro" controller for traditionalists, which looks similar to the Xbox 360 controller.
The preview happened ahead of this year?s E3 gaming convention which begins tomorrow in Las Vegas.
