ISRAELI efforts to convince the world of the gravity of Iran's suspected atomic drive had web surfers quacking up on Wednesday after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's warning over Tehran's "nuclear duck".
"If it looks like a duck, if it walks like a duck, if it quacks like a duck, then what is it? That's right. It's a duck. But this duck is a nuclear duck!" declared Netanyahu, pooh-poohing those who questioned whether Iran was really trying to build a bomb, as Israel and much of the West believes.
On Twitter, #nuclearduck quickly became a trend and by Wednesday, it had also made YouTube with an Israeli called Amir Kotigaro remixing the speech to a peppy soundtrack, splicing it with footage of Daffy Duck.
Nuclear Duck -- Bibi Netanyahu featuring Daffy Duck & Duck Sauce quickly racked up views and was even picked up by the media-savvy administrators of the premier's Facebook page, who posted it on his wall, spawning well over 1,000 "likes."
"Ahmadinejad had better duck!" one wrote, referring to Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
