WE'VE seen him as Edward Scissorhands and Willy Wonka, but never with a dead bird resting on his crown.
But don?t worry, the bizarre head dress and war facepaint is just the latest in a long list of costumes and roles for Johnny Depp.
Depp, who has appeared in Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is currently filming his latest role in the big screen remake of The Lone Ranger.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday released this Twitter picture of Depp, who stars alongside The Social Network star Armie Hammer who plays the Ranger, and Depp who plays his sidekick Tonto.
The big-screen version of the popular Fifties show with director Gore Verbinski began filming on location in New Mexico last month.
British star Helena Bonham Carter is also tipped to star in the film due out for release next year.
The role is close to home for Depp who only last year revealed his native American heritage.
?My great-grandmother was quite a bit of Native American, she grew up Cherokee or maybe Creek Indian. Makes sense in terms of coming from Kentucky, which is rife with Cherokee and Creek,? he said.
The hit show first appeared on the small screen in 1949 and stared Clayton Moore as the Lone Ranger and Jay Silverheels as Tonto.
