A bug in the video conferencing system is causing private messages to be sent to the wrong recipients, Mashable reports.

The company tweeted that they were working on a fix after a series of users reported their accounts were directing messages to others on their contact list.

The company told Engadget it planned to roll out a software update once the bug was fixed.

In the meantime, be careful what you type on Skype. Better yet, limit your communication to video chat only.
