A GOPHER living right under a rocket launch pad in Kazakhstan has popped up on the internet.

The gopher rose to worldwide fame after workers at the Baikonur Cosmodrome planted a camera to capture the creature's antics.

And despite the noise and heavy machinery regularly passing through his home, the gopher appears very happy in his unconventional home.
