IN Call of Duty: Black Ops II gamers will play as futuristic warriors and fight in a 21st century cold war, the game's website has revealed.
A trailer for the hotly anticipated first-person shooter features a helicopter flying over a war-torn city, where buildings have been destroyed by stealth planes.
The trailer also features returning character Sgt Woods, who introduces a bleak future of Black Ops and a world war fought with machines.
He explains machines built by the Government to keep people safe have turned against them.
"No one ever asks what happens when the enemy steals the keys," he says.
According to the website, Black Ops II pushes "the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise".
Last year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was named the biggest selling entertainment release of all time, drawing in $1 billion in just 16 days.
It is predicted that Call of Duty: Black Ops II will break Modern Warfare's record when it launches on November 13 2012.
