CATWALK queen Miranda Kerr has wowed the crowd at an exclusive parade to launch the stunning David Jones spring/summer collection.
Kerr captured the 400 strong VIP audience's attention in an array of sexy new looks, including a cut-out white one piece swimsuit by Carla Zampatti, an Oscar-worthy red gown by Alex Perry, a figure hugging metallic Dion Lee dress and a spectacular strapless peplum ensemble by Romance Was Born.
The supermodel, who is reportedly on a $1 million contract with the retailer, opened the Sydney show wearing a Lisa Ho maxi dress in a banana leaf print.
The parade is strictly invitation-only and attended by the who's who of the fashion scene including Megan Gale, who sat with her designer bestie Alex Perry.
Kerr was joined by Melbourne born model of the moment Montana Cox, along with serial stunners Samantha Harris, Jess Gomes and Alexandra Agoston sporting an inspiring collection of the latest looks.
The Mad Men effect on fashion is also showing no sign of abating, with 50s-inspired pieces featuring prominently in cropped pants, waist-enhancing skirts and prom-style dresses for women, and tailored looks for men.
Collette Dinnigan and kaftan queen Camilla made a splash with their first line of swimwear going on show.
The parade's make-up director, Napoleon Perdis, has described David Jones' line-up of models, which also includes Jason Dundas and Adelaide's Jemma Baines, as "amazing".
"Every season it gets better and better," he said.
Perdis said he always created an individual make-up look for Kerr to match her personality.
"She is really easy to work with," he said.
Nice work if you can get it.
