CARRIE Bickmore has laughed off her accidental use of the C-bomb on TV last night.
The Project co-host blurted out the expletive when trying to pronounce "Qantas" and unintentionally called the airline "C...as".
But Bickmore said today she wasn't dwelling on her on-air slip-up.
"Oh look, I couldn't have done anything about it. I had that split-second in my head - 'did anyone hear that?' And I was like, 'I think I said that'," Bickmore told mX.
"I thought I'd better acknowledge it and say sorry, and then in my head I was thinking, 'I think I've just made it worse'. And then I got the giggles and couldn't stop.
"I thought, 'well, I certainly won't be getting an upgrade any time soon'."
The glamorous newsreader joked that she hoped she still had a job. "I haven't gone into work yet - I'm assuming I still have a job. I haven't heard otherwise."
Earlier today, Carrie tweeted this apology: "Any publicity is good publicity right??!! Sorry @qantasairways and my nan", to which Qantas replied: "@BickmoreCarrie We forgive you Carrie. We're sure it wasn't intentional :)"
The footage - which has been uploaded to YouTube - has been viewed more than 15,000 times in less than 24 hours.
Bickmore's The Project co-host, Dave Hughes, said the show had embraced the controversy. "We heard her say C...as and it was a moment where you think, 'all right, what do we do with that?'
"We were laughing about it - we were getting so much internet reaction...we just thought we'd celebrate the silliness of it.
"You just can't beat someone saying C...as, apparently."
A Ten spokesman said the network had received no complaints as of early today.
