- New brekkie show to take advantage of Rudd's resignation
- Breakfast launches four days early
- No better time to launch the show, say sources
KEVIN Rudd's abrupt resignation saw the Ten Network scrambling to launch its new early morning program, Breakfast, four days early.
The show launched at 6am today. It had originally planned to launch this coming Monday.
Ten's return to a fully fledged breakfast show features controversial New Zealand personality Paul Henry, existing Ten personality Kathryn Robinson, Dr Andrew Rochford and weather presenter Magdalena Roze.
Ten sources said that the events involving Rudd meant there would be no better time to launch the show, given its unscripted nature.
