Indonesia visit will happen, says Obama

UNITED States President Barack Obama says his twice delayed trip to Indonesia is going to happen.

His trip to the most populous Muslim nation is tied with a trip to Australia but he made no specific mention of Australia.

Domestic emergencies including the massive Gulf of Mexico oil spill have kept Mr Obama from visiting previously.

Mr Obama held a bilateral meeting with Indonesia's President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on the sidelines of Toronto's G20 meeting.

"Because of the crisis that we've had in the Gulf, I've had to delay the trip," Mr Obama told reporters at G20.

"But graciously, for a second time now, the president has re-extended the invitation, and I am confident that we are going to get there."

A REMARKABLY slim Christina Aguilera - thanks almost certainly to a skillful airbrushing - the latest to pose nude on a magazine cover.

Following the likes of Kim Kardashian, Christina Aguilera covers her breasts and private parts with a white silk cloth and a bunch of red roses in a cover shoot for W magazine.

Aguilera, who has gained a fuller figure in recent months, has seen her music career plummet with a bombed album together with a divorce and an arrest.

The 30-year-old Aguilera, now reduced to a mentor on US TV reality show, The Voice, talks about her divorce and her arrest with new boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, on March 1.

Rutler, who was driving, was arrested for allegedly drink driving although it later turned out her was under the limit.

Aguilera was arrested for public intoxication but told W mag that she was targeted by the police.

'It never should have happened in the first place," Aguilera says.

"The police knew my recent history and wanted to jump on the bandwagon.

"I don?t mean to martyr myself, but I think I was a victim of celebrity.

"I don?t drive, I wasn?t driving, and I committed no crimes, but they put me in jail.

"They called me a 'political hot potato.' They said, 'What are we going to do with this woman?' I think they were bored that night."

On her divorce from Jordan Bratman, Aguilera talked about how badly their relationship had broken.

'It got to a point where my life at home was reminding me of my own childhood.

"I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home."

Hinting at unfaithfulness on both sides, she conceded: "At one time or another, we were both not angels."

Now reduced to a mentor on US TV reality show, The Voice, Aguilera said she is not defeated.

"I still have my eyes on the prize...

"I want to be that old lady onstage shaking her hips and singing her greatest hits."

W Magazine is a split edition this month, with Beyonce also on the cover star on half of the July issue mags.

DISQUALIFIED MasterChef contestant Mat Beyer's cooking ambitions aren't completely fried, with hints he may be readmitted to the reality show.

Five weeks after Beyer was caught with a mobile phone and disqualified, rumours claim the 24-year-old might be allowed back into the competition, despite episodes featuring his axing set to air this week.

The IT worker was allegedly holed up in a Sydney hotel room and given a gag order by producers from the Ten Network series after his removal from the contest in late May.

Beyer's father Michael told The Sunday Telegraph he had suspicions about the show's reason for silencing his son.

"He has been told not to say anything so they must have something in the wings or want to boost their ratings," Mr Beyer said.

The show's producers have remained tight-lipped about Beyer's fate, refusing to even confirm he had been axed.

AN Iraqi court handed down a 15-year jail term to a man convicted of abducting a British journalist.

A judiciary spokesman Abdel Sattar al-Beriqdar did not identify the convict by name but said the court had sentenced him for the armed kidnapping of Richard Butler, who was seized with his translator in 2008 and held hostage for two months.

"The Iraqi central criminal court issued a 15-year prison sentence against the defendant for kidnapping the British journalist Richard Butler," Beriqdar said in a statement.

"In issuing its verdict, the court saw the evidence collected during the judicial investigations and sentenced him in accordance with the Anti-Terror Law," he added.

Butler was kidnapped on February 10, 2008, while on assignment for US television network CBS in the main southern city of Basra. He was freed two months later after a a fierce firefight between his abductors and Iraqi forces.

He was found after the 30-minute gun battle, handcuffed and hooded.

A QUIET English village was given a briefing by cops on how to pick terrorists armed with rocket launchers.

Villagers were shocked when police told them that some areas of Surrey - on the southwestern outskirts of London - had been identified as potential "high-risk launch sites" for terrorists to fire rockets at planes taking off or landing at Heathrow Airport.

The Metropolitan Police's (MPS) specialist aviation security team has been visiting village halls with a surface-to-air rocket launcher and video footage of a missile striking a plane in Iraq.

James Nicholls, who attended one of the meetings in Ockham in June, described the briefing as "extraordinary."

"We were asked to look for people burying things in the ground, we were shown all the components of this heat-seeking shoulder-launched missile," he said.

"They told us, 'there's no threat whatsoever,' but please be on the lookout. This is an awful lot of work to be putting in if there is no threat," he added.

Nicholls said police also suggested that terrorists might smuggle a weapon from Afghanistan and bury it in the countryside.

The MPS said the briefings were part of a community awareness program.

A spokesman said, "The MPS regularly holds community engagement events to build relations with the community and to encourage the public to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to police. This is part of an ongoing process and is not in response to any specific intelligence."

Maria Shriver Files for Divorce from Arnold

TMZ has learned Maria Shriver has pulled the trigger on her marriage ... she just filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger ... and we've learned, there is no prenup.

In the divorce petition, Shriver cites "irreconcilable differences" as her reason for ending the 25-year marriage.

Shriver is asking for spousal support and wants the judge to deny Arnold the right to ask for support for himself-- though it's highly unlikely he would.

Shriver is asking for joint custody of their minor children, Patrick, 17, and Christopher 13.�

And, in the petition, filed by disso-queen Laura Wasser, Shriver is asking Arnold to pay the attorneys fees of both parties.

As for the date Arnold and Maria separated ... it isn't specified in the divorce papers.

According to the docs, the property accumulated during the marriage will be divided at a later date.� And, sources tell TMZ, there is no prenup, so all of Arnold and Maria's earnings over the past quarter century will be divided 50/50.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ ...� Arnold and Maria are on speaking terms and Arnold knew beforehand that she was filing divorce papers. Maria is telling friends she hopes this will be an easy and amicable divorce.
