Andy Roddick is through to the quarter-finals of the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships after recording a 6-4 7-5 win over Denis Istomin.
The fourth seed, who lost to Istomin two weeks ago in San Jose, converted all three break points he created to seal victory in just under an hour and a half.

Daniel Sturridge insists he is committed to Chelsea and has praised under-fire manager Andre Villas-Boas for helping him to develop this season.
The 22-year-old joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2009, but has been forced to wait until the current campaign to establish himself as a regular in the first-team set-up.
After impressing on loan at Bolton Wanderers in the second half of last term, Sturridge has featured prominently since Villas-Boas took charge last summer.
Though reports have claimed Sturridge is unhappy at playing in a wide role, rather than as an out-and-out striker, the England international stressed he does not want to leave Stamford Bridge.

A THAI protest leader accused of terrorism was released from prison briefly to apply to run in a by-election seen as a key test of the opposition's prospects of success in nationwide polls.
Kokaew Pikulthong, a senior "Red Shirt" involved in the mass rally in Bangkok that ended last month, will stand against incumbent Panich Vikitsreth of the ruling Democrat Party in the July 25 vote in the capital.
A Thai court last week granted permission for Kokaew, the candidate of the main opposition Puea Thai Party, to be released temporarily from Bangkok Remand Prison to register to challenge Panich, a vice foreign minister.
Mr Kokaew, who has not been convicted of any crimes relating to his role in the two-month-long street protest, was later returned to detention, but is expected to seek permission to be released again to campaign for votes.
The Red Shirts' rally, which at its peak attracted up to about 100,000 people demanding immediate elections, sparked outbreaks of violence that left 90 people dead, mostly civilians, and nearly 1900 injured.

England captain Chris Robshaw insists the team will bounce back after the defeat to Wales in the RBS Six Nations.
England suffered their first defeat of the competition with a 19-12 reverse at Twickenham on Saturday, where a late try by Scott Williams proved the difference between the teams.
While frustrated to lose, Robshaw believes Stuart Lancaster's side are improving and there will be more to come when they take on France in Paris on Sunday, March 11th.
He told Sky Sports: "We were very frustrated to lose and the manner in which we did, we felt that we went toe-to-toe with Wales and put them on the back foot and were leading for the majority of the game.
"But international rugby can be quite cruel and it is about one or two mistakes and it's about playing for the 80 minutes.
"Of course our attacking game was much improved and we spoke about that in the week building up to it and I think we'll have to step it up again, again going into the France game."
He added the squad very train hard and want to go out and play for each other.
"I think that shows in the way we actually play. Our defence is pretty good at the moment, I know that we have conceded a couple of tries but in general, its pretty good.
"And our attacking flurry is getting a lot better the more we understand how each other want to play."
