ACTOR Alec Baldwin has proposed to a woman 25 years his junior.
"Yes, it's true! Alec proposed to Hilaria (Thomas) this weekend and we're all excited for the newly engaged couple. Alec's birthday is tomorrow - great way to celebrate!" Baldwin's rep said today in a statement.
The 30 Rock star began dating Thomas, 28, an instructor at New York's Yoga Vida studio, in the spring of 2011.
Baldwin, 53, has credited his yogi girlfriend with helping him adopt a healthier lifestyle.
It will be the first marriage for Thomas, a native of Spain who spent much of her childhood in Boston.
Baldwin was previously married to actress Kim Basinger, 58, from 1993 to 2002.
Baldwin and Basinger have a 16-year-old daughter, Ireland, who her father famously called "a rude, thoughtless little pig" in a leaked voicemail message during a nasty custody battle in 2007.
But the teenager cheered on her dad and his fiancee, tweeting, "Congratulations to @AlecBaldwin and @hilariathomas on getting engaged! Love you guys."
"I'm going to be a flower girl," she added.
